HIP-AO antioxidant masterbatch, this masterbatch contains antioxidants of the first and second type in the amount of 10% by weight and is used in the production of car parts<\/p>\n

Polymers are affected by oxidation and degradation for various reasons. The most probable condition for creating this situation is the presence of free radicals in the polymer. The presence of free radicals in the polymer may occur in the polymer for the following reasons:<\/p>\n

  1. Remaining of the catalyst inside the polymer during polymerization<\/li>\n
  2. Operations during processing and shaping<\/li>\n
  3. Atmospheric factors and sunlight<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The presence of these factors causes the breaking of at least one bond, and according to the following mechanism, free radicals are formed and these radicals combine with air oxygen. These reactions are destructive and cause a change in appearance and major changes in the mechanical properties of the polymer.<\/p>\n
